How Ethereum deposits are credited

A deposit is confirmed once its transaction has executed successfully and its block is deep enough. Being included in a block is not enough: a reverted transaction is still in the block.

A token deposit is credited only from a Transfer event emitted by the token contract to your address, and only when the transaction succeeded. A token transfer that returns false without reverting moves nothing, so it credits nothing.

Each deposit reaches you as a webhook: deposit.detected while it is pending, then deposit.confirmed with the exact amount delivered, which is the signal to credit it.

Sending ETH and tokens

Withdrawals are prepared as unsigned transactions with the nonce and fees filled in, signed with your key material, then broadcast once. The hot-wallet SDK serializes sends from one address, so two automated payouts never race for a nonce.

Every withdrawal is prepared by the API, signed with key material only you hold, and broadcast once. A send whose outcome is unknown is never retried blind. See withdrawals and hot wallets for automated payouts.

List your Ethereum wallets

curl "https://api.guveno.com/v1/wallets?chain=ethereum&network=sepolia" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer gv_live_your_key_here"

Wallets are created from the dashboard, the Node.js or Python SDK, or the CLI, so the recovery phrase is generated and encrypted on your side.

Ethereum questions

Which Ethereum assets does Guveno support?

On Ethereum mainnet, Guveno lists ETH and USDT (ERC-20) and USDC (ERC-20).

When is a Ethereum deposit confirmed?

12 confirmations by default. Until then the deposit is reported as pending, and you should not credit it.

Which plans include Ethereum?

Testnet on every plan, including the free Developer tier. Mainnet on Startup, Pro and Enterprise.

Does Guveno hold my Ethereum keys?

No. Guveno is self-custodial: your recovery phrase is encrypted on your device, and Guveno never holds a key that can move your funds. It watches your addresses and prepares transactions, and you sign them.
