Why we built Guveno, by the co-founders

The internal-tool origin story, and why we think team wallets are the next big surface in crypto: not another exchange, not another chain.

Why we built Guveno, by the co-founders

It started as an internal tool

We did not set out to build a wallet company. We were running an exchange, and we kept losing time to the same boring problem: how do a handful of people share custody of company funds without trusting each other completely or grinding to a halt?

Everything we tried was either a single seed phrase passed around like a secret, or enterprise custody priced for banks. So we built the thing in the middle, for ourselves.

The gap nobody was filling

Crypto has spent a decade building for two extremes: the lone individual and the giant institution. The team in between (the startup, the small business, the group of friends pooling funds) got nothing designed for them. That is the surface we care about.

A group of people collaborating around shared goals
The team in the middle was the one nobody had built for. So we did.

What we are building toward

A wallet should feel less like a vault you are afraid of and more like a shared account you understand. Transparent, multiplayer, and calm under pressure. That is the whole idea, and we are a long way from finished.
